Dillon Metzgar serves as the Girls Athletic Coordinator at Diamond Hill-Jarvis and oversee's the girls athletics programs. He is committed to promoting quality education-based programs that foster the overall student-athlete development on and off the field of play.
Dillon is a husband to his wife Emily and a father to his son Jacob. Coach Metzgar has served as the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at DH-J for all sports from 2018-2021. During that time he started the DH-J Powerlifting program which has had 28 Regional Qualifiers, 2 State Qualifiers, and a State record in the Deadlift along with contributing to the staff that broke DH-J's 7 year football losing streak and established a culture of progress receiving 7 wins over the next two seasons.
Coach Metzgar moved to New Mexico in 2021 and served the student athletes in New Mexico while working at the New Mexico Activities Association. He spearheaded the creation of High School Powerlifting in New Mexico and hosted the first in-person State Powerlifting Championship in 2022 and the first in-person Powerlifting season in 2023. Powerlifitng was approved to be the 14th sanctioned sport in New Mexico in 2023.
Metzgar is proud to be back at Diamond Hill-Jarvis and is ready to continue to create a standard of excellence, standard of quality, and foster the enjoyment of sport at DH-J.
